Presidential Inauguration Volunteer Opportunities

Presidential Inauguration

Due to the high volume of responses, Serve DC is no longer recruiting volunteers on behalf of the District of Columbia Government for the 57th quadrennial Presidential Inauguration.

Thank you in advance for your interest in volunteering in support of the Presidential Inauguration. The 2013 Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) is still recruiting volunteers. Learn more about inauguration weekend volunteer opportunities with the PIC on their website.

If you have already registered to volunteer through Serve DC: Please note that due to the heightened security and unique nature of this event, Inauguration Weekend volunteers will be activated on an as-needed basis. Serve DC cannot guarantee specific tasks, duties or dates at this time. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Volunteers will be notified directly in the event they are requested, therefore we ask that you do not contact Serve DC or other government staff to inquire about your status.

For more information about Inauguration and MLK Day Weekend volunteer opportunities, please contact Clarence Fluker.

In addition to inauguration-related volunteer opportunities, Serve DC and partners are actively recruiting volunteers for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, which also occurs on Monday, January 21st. MLK Day service projects and events will be hosted throughout the weekend with an official national signature service project, "Unite America in Service," on Saturday, January 19th.
