DC InterCorps Council

Serve DC sponsors the DC InterCorps Council (ICC), which is comprised of member ambassadors from AmeriCorps programs operating in the District of Columbia. The council supports AmeriCorps members Through networking, training, outreach and resource sharing. The ICC is member-driven and member-focused. It seeks to strengthen the relationship between individual members and the national AmeriCorps network to promote sustainable and effective service.

Each AmeriCorps program in the District of Columbia may nominate two AmeriCorps members to serve as ambassadors on the ICC. Ambassadors must attend monthly ICC meetings, which are held the first Wednesday of each month. Other responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the coordination of the National Service Conference in partnership with Serve DC.
  • Developing a service project for All Corps Service Day which engages AmeriCorps members across the District of Columbia.
  • Coordinating member social events throughout the service year.
