Thousands of District residents volunteer each year to be part of the volunteer. Days a year-round action plan designed to illustrate how a single day of service can grow into an ongoing habit of helping communities.
 
Serve DC serves as the city’s lead organizer for Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Global Youth Service Day, and Patriot's Day. Serve DC also assists partner organizations with the planning and implementation of the other days of service such as Make a Difference Day and DCPS Beautification Day.
